New feature·Tools25 October

Price Trends

See which products and cards rose and fell in price the most over the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Narrow the ranking to one game and sort it by percentage or amount change.

Open Price TrendsHow does it work?

You'll find the Price Trends page in the Tools menu. It's free to use, even without an account.

  • Choose products or cards, a game, a period and the direction of change: rises or drops.

  • Tiles above the ranking show how many items went up and how many went down in price this week, how many are above their 30-day average, and how many hit a 30-day high or low.

  • Clicking an item opens a window with its price history.

New feature·Website9 October

mTCG in English and German

You can now use mTCG in English and German at mtcg.app/en and mtcg.app/de, with card and product prices in euros, collections, binders and the Scanner. Change the language with the switcher in the header.

  • The language switcher works on mtcg.pl and mtcg.app, and you stay logged in when you move between them.

  • Since October 14, price comparison in Polish shops is also available in English at mtcg.pl/en.

  • Since October 17, the booster pack simulator works on every version of the site.

New features

4
  • New game: Dragon Ball Super Fusion World

The Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World has joined mTCG. You can already compare shop prices for booster packs, booster boxes, starter decks and collector editions, and single cards are coming soon.

28 OctoberGames:Dragon Ball Super: Fusion WorldView Dragon Ball products

In the catalog you'll find every English set, from FB01 Awakened Pulse to the announced FB12 Reach the God, plus Manga Boosters, Story Booster 01, Premium Card Collection, anniversary sets and starter decks from FS01 to FS14.

For each product we show the publisher's suggested price and current offers from shops, so you can see right away where to buy it for the lowest price.

You can also add tournament packs, promo packs and Energy Marker Packs to your collection, even though they aren't sold at retail.

We're already working on single cards. Soon you'll also be able to check their market value here and add them to your collections and binders.

    28 October
  • Help Center

The Help Center explains step by step how to use mTCG: from getting started to collections, binders, the card Scanner, plans and privacy. Articles include screenshots and answers to the most common questions.

  • Collector's Dex and Collection progress

Collector's Dex shows how many of the 1,025 Pokémon you already own at least one card of. The Collection progress page brings together all the sets you've started, with their progress and the cost to complete them.

    19 OctoberGames:PokemonPokemon JapanPokemon ChinaOpen Collector's Dex·How does it work?
    • Pokémon are grouped by generation. By default we count English cards, and if you like, we'll count Japanese and Chinese cards too.

    • A Pokémon gets the "Master" badge once you own all of its cards in the chosen languages.

    • The "Recently caught" section shows your latest finds, and you can pin a missing card as wanted.

    • The "Build binder from Dex" button puts the Pokémon you choose into a new binder and works out the cost of the missing cards.

    • The card page and card window show whether you own the card, in which collection, in what condition and on which binder page.

    19 October
  • Similar artwork and card search by color

A card's page shows up to 12 cards with similar artwork, and when adding cards to a collection or binder, you can search for them by artwork color.

    19 OctoberGames:PokemonOne PieceRiftboundCyberpunk
    • You can narrow a color search to cards with full-card artwork.

    • In a binder, the “Arrange by color” option lays out the page in a color gradient, and you can undo it in one click.

    • We have artwork colors for Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound and Cyberpunk cards.

    19 October

Improvements

6
  • Cards from new sets within an hour

Cards from newly announced and just-released sets usually appear in the catalog within an hour, instead of after several hours.

    24 October
    24 October
  • Binders: bigger grids, card filter and two-page view

A binder can now have a grid of up to 6×6 and shows your set progress with the missing cards. The card filter and sorting by price or rarity help you tidy up your pages quickly.

22 OctoberOpen binders·How does it work?
    • You can change a binder's grid at any time, and your cards will flow onto the new pages on their own.

    • You can save the condition of each card.

    • The “Two pages” view shows a whole spread at once, and the action bar gives you quick access to the most common tasks.

    • The filter finds cards by name, number, note, status, rarity, set and price. Cards that don't match are dimmed, and the binder turns to the page with a match on its own.

    • You can fit several copies of the same card in one slot as a stack.

    • The “Find similar” option suggests cards with similar artwork that you can add or swap in.

    • You can identify the card for a chosen slot from a photo.

    • On your phone, a card you pick up goes to a dock, pages have sleeves with pockets, and an animated guide shows the gestures you can use.

    • On the top plan, one binder holds up to 1,250 cards.

    22 October
  • CSV import from other collecting services

You can now import a collection or binder straight from an export file from other collecting services, such as Collectr or Dreamborn. We'll recognize the cards, their variants, language and quantity.

21 OctoberOpen collections·How does it work?
    • CSV import is available on paid plans.

    • We match cards by the IDs in the file or by set name.

    • The import preview now explains more clearly why a row doesn't match and what you can do about it.

    • The mTCG export file now includes each card's rarity.

    21 October
  • Scanner: language flags, set codes and binder spots

Each scan result shows a language flag and a set code, so you can easily tell apart the same card in several language versions. The add window remembers the collection you chose last.

16 OctoberOpen Scanner·How does it work?
    • A scanned card shows its spots in your binders, and one tap marks it as owned there.

    • When you scan a product's barcode, the result opens the same way as a card result, with a button to add it to your collection.

    • The Scanner no longer has a beta label.

    16 October
  • More accurate card valuations

Cards with offers on the European market are now valued from those offers only, with no US prices mixed in, which used to undervalue some expensive cards. No card shows a value of zero anymore.

    10 OctoberHow does it work?

When a card's valuation is out of date, you'll see a warning next to it.

    10 October
  • Refreshed light and dark themes, plus a Halloween theme

The light theme now has a soft grey background with white cards, so page sections no longer blend together, and the dark theme has better contrast. Seasonal themes have arrived too, starting with Halloween.

    5 October

You can turn off seasonal decorations in the site footer.

    5 October

Fixes

1
  • Fixes to accounts, collections and notifications

You can turn on two-factor authentication again, and selling some copies of a card from your collection no longer loses its condition or variant.

    19 October
    • You can turn on two-factor authentication in your account settings again.

    • When you sell some copies of a card from your collection, the remaining ones keep their condition and variant.

    • A starting collection value you entered by hand no longer reverts to the automatically calculated value.

    • When your session expires, you land on the sign-in page instead of an error page.

    • Tapping an alert notification opens the product page with current offers.

    • Notifications get through despite brief network problems, because we retry sending them.

Japanese and Chinese Pokémon cards

The catalog now has single Pokémon cards in Japanese, including from classic sets, and in Chinese. You can check their prices and add them to your collection.

Games:Pokemon JapanPokemon China
See Japanese Pokémon cards
  • Japanese sets got card lists with market prices in early September.

  • Chinese cards arrived on 8 September, and each print has its own variant and image.

  • Since 20 September, every Chinese card also shows its English name.

New features

2
  • Set completion progress on the card list

On a set's card list, you'll see how many of its cards you own across all your collections, how many you're missing and how much it would cost to complete the set at market prices.

    24 SeptemberHow does it work?

You see your progress when signed in. Narrow the list to missing or owned cards, and owned cards show how many copies you have.

  • New game: Cyberpunk

The Cyberpunk card game has joined mTCG: products first, then single cards a few days later. Each printing of a card, such as Retail, Beta, starters and promo, is a separate variant.

    3 SeptemberGames:CyberpunkView Cyberpunk products

A set page shows only the printings from that set by default.

Improvements

4
  • Faster scanning from a photo

Scanning from a photo is noticeably faster, because we first send a small crop with the card and the full photo follows in the background. In the result you'll see your photo cropped to the detected card.

29 SeptemberOpen Scanner·How does it work?

Scan details also show the detected card variant and a shortcut to its page.

    29 September
  • Simulator: classic Pokémon booster packs and god packs

In the simulator you can now open classic Pokémon booster packs from the Base Set, Jungle, Fossil and Team Rocket sets in the Unlimited edition, and from the 30th Celebration set. In five English sets you can also hit a god pack.

    21 SeptemberGames:PokemonOpen simulator·How does it work?

God packs turn up in Prismatic Evolutions and 151, for example, and we also include their odds in the expected value of those sets.

    21 September
  • Pin a binder to a collection

You can now pin a binder to a collection, and changes sync both ways. You choose whether all the cards you've collected in the binder go into the collection, or the binder mirrors what's in the collection.

  • Set group pages

Set groups, such as the Chinese Pokémon Gem Packs, now have their own pages. They show every set in the group, each with its logo, release date and products.

9 AugustScan with webcam·How does it work?

The scan result points to the right variant or alternate art, and a recognised card that's missing from the catalog now shows up instead of a scanning error.

  • Binders: choose variants, move cards and add notes

Estimated opening value for Pokémon products

Pages of Pokémon products with booster packs now show the average value of the cards you'll pull from them, so it's easier to judge whether a product is worth opening.

Games:Pokemon

We calculate the opening value from the published pull rates and the cards' current market prices. Expand "Where does this number come from?" to see how much of the value each rarity adds and which promo cards the product guarantees.

  • At launch, the estimate covers sets from the Scarlet & Violet and Mega eras.

  • It also works for products with booster packs from several sets and with random promo packs.

New feature·Catalog and cards25 July

Older Pokémon sets with cards and prices

You can now browse cards and prices from older Pokémon sets, from Base Set and Aquapolis to the EX era, including sets whose products you can no longer buy in shops.

Games:Pokemon
Browse Pokémon sets

Thousands of cards we didn't have before are now in the catalogue, along with their variants and market prices. These sets show only the cards, because shops no longer sell their booster packs and boxed products.

New feature·Catalog and cards14 July

One Piece cards with prices

You can now browse single One Piece cards from 53 English sets, and every alternate art has its own market value.

Games:One Piece
Open One Piece

The catalog has about 2,600 cards in 4,100 variants. One Piece set pages show all variants right away, so alternate arts don't hide behind the base card.

Sets with reprints, such as PRB-01 and PRB-02, show every card they actually contain, including those released earlier in other sets.

New features

2
  • A bell for what's new

The bell in the page header shows short announcements about what's new on mTCG. A dot lets you know there's something unread waiting for you, even if you're not signed in.

    19 July

  • Chinese Pokémon products

Chinese Pokémon products now have their own catalog, which you open with the "Chinese" tab on the Pokémon page, next to English and Japanese products.

    2 JulyGames:Pokemon ChinaOpen Chinese Pokémon

On July 23, the Japanese and Chinese catalogs also got their own tiles with a flag and a "New" badge in the list of games, both on the home page and on the all games page.

    2 July

Improvements

2
  • Card page with game data and PSA population

A card page now shows the card's game data, such as HP, attacks, abilities, weaknesses and retreat cost, plus the PSA population for the selected variant.

    31 JulyGames:Pokemon

The card page has a new layout. Below the image and price you'll find the game data, and further down the "PSA Population" section: how many copies of the selected variant got each grade, how many cards were graded in total and what share of them got a 10.

When you open a card from a set list, the address bar shows the same link as the full card page, so you can send it to someone right away.

    31 July
  • Portfolio analytics and purchase details in your collection

On the collection page you'll find a "Portfolio analytics" section with a value chart and a hobby balance calculated across all your collections at once.

20 JulyOpen collections·How does it work?
    • Clicking a product in your collection opens its details with price charts.

    • In product and card details, you'll see a "Your purchase" section with the date, price and quantity.

    • When you add a card to your collection, you choose its variant and condition right away.

    20 July

Fixes

1
  • Collection fixes

Cards added without a purchase price, such as ones pulled from a booster pack, no longer inflate your collection's purchase cost. Your collection no longer shows a loss that didn't happen.

20 JulyOpen collections·How does it work?
    • We now calculate a collection's purchase cost only from the purchase prices that were entered.

    • Collections with products that have no suggested retail price open again.

    • The “Biggest gems” list no longer shows the same items twice.
