Ruby & Sapphire

Ruby & Sapphire is the first main set of the EX series, opening the Hoenn and third-generation era in the Pokémon TCG. The set has 109 cards and introduces the Pokémon-ex mechanic: stronger cards that give up two Prize cards when knocked out. Its signature cards include Mewtwo ex, Scyther ex, Sneasel ex and the holo Blaziken, Gardevoir, Sceptile and Swampert. The set also stands out for its Reverse Holo versions and the e-Reader card layout with its distinctive dot-code strip.
