Collection Value and Analytics

How we calculate your collection's value, how the Hobby Balance differs from the Passion Balance, which items make it into Top Gems and what Portfolio Analytics shows.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

How we calculate value

The value of a sealed product is its current market value, and when we don't know it, the purchase price.

The value of a card is the market valuation of its variant in the selected condition, and when that is missing, the purchase price or the initial value. Only items you still own, meaning neither opened nor sold, count towards the collection's value.

We estimate market valuations automatically from publicly available sale listings and show them in koruna on the Czech site and in euros on the Slovak site.

You can read more about valuations in the article Where prices come from.

Summary above the tabs

Under the name of each collection you see three tiles, which always cover the whole collection:

  • Vault Value: the value of the products and cards you own.

  • Passion Balance: the amount recovered from sales minus the amount spent on purchases, shown next to the same result as a percentage of spending.

  • Vault Count: the number of all items in the collection, including opened and sold ones, broken down into sealed products, opened products and owned cards.

Analysis tab

In each collection, on the Analysis tab, you will find:

  • Your Vault: the Market Value tile with the value of the items you own and the Collection Size tile with the number of unopened products and owned cards.

  • Your Journey: the number of items opened, sold (New Home) and in total.

  • Hobby Balance: the Spent on collection amount, the Recovered from sales amount and the result they give.

  • The Collection Evolution chart, which shows how the value of the items you own has changed over time.

  • Top Gems: up to five items that have gained the most relative to their purchase price.

The Analysis tab in a collection with the market value, collection size, Hobby Balance, the Collection Evolution chart for the last 30 days and a list of five Top Gems.

With the All, Items only and Cards only switch you can narrow the whole analysis down to products only or cards only.

Hobby Balance

The Hobby Balance is the amount recovered from sales minus the amount spent on the collection. Spending includes the purchase prices of all entries, opened and sold ones too, while cards without a purchase price don't add to it. The balance doesn't include the value of items you still own, because it only shows the money you have actually spent and recovered.

Until sales exceed spending, the balance is called Total cost of passion and shows how much the hobby has cost you so far. Once you recover more from sales than you spent, it changes to Net Profit.

Passion Balance and Hobby Balance

Both balances are calculated the same way and differ in where they appear and what they cover. The Passion Balance on the tile above the tabs always covers the whole collection and also shows the result as a percentage of spending. The Hobby Balance on the Analysis tab follows the products and cards switch and also breaks the result down into the amount spent and the amount recovered.

Top Gems

Top Gems lists up to five items that you still own and whose value has risen the most in percentage terms relative to their purchase price. For cards without a purchase price, we compare the value with the initial value. Items that have lost value or not gained any don't appear here, so the list may be shorter or empty.

Portfolio Analytics

On the collections list page, the Portfolio Analytics section combines all your collections. It is collapsed by default, and you expand it with the Show button. In it you will find:

  • The Collection Evolution chart with the value of all collections over time.

  • The Hobby balance over time chart, which shows day by day how the balance of purchases and sales of sealed products has changed.

  • Biggest value changes: five items each in the Biggest gains and Biggest drops lists, relative to the purchase price.

  • Value by category: the value of the items you own broken down by game.

On the value charts you choose how many recent days of data they show. How far back you can go depends on your plan:

Collection progress

Under the Collection progress link you can check how many cards from each set you already own. You will also find the Collector's Dex there.

On each set's page, the Your collection in this set panel shows how many of its cards you own, how many are left to collect and how much the missing cards would cost at market prices (Cost to complete).
