A collection is a list of your sealed products and single cards. We use it to work out how much it is worth and what your spending balance looks like.
New collection
In the menu, open My collection and click New collection. Give the collection a name, add an optional description and confirm with the Create collection button. You can keep several collections, for example a separate one for each game.
How many collections you can keep depends on your plan:
You can change the name and description later with the Edit button in the collection header. Next to it is a bin icon that deletes the collection once you confirm with Delete permanently.
If you switch to a lower plan and have more collections than the new plan allows, the extra ones become read-only. We explain more in the article Plans and limits.
Adding products
You can add a product on its page with the Add to collection button, or in the collection with the Add product button. You enter the purchase price, quantity, purchase date and an optional note.
By default you enter purchase and sale prices in the site's currency, which is koruna on the Czech site and euro on the Slovak site, and you can choose another currency next to the price field. We save the amount in the currency you chose and, for profit and balance, convert it at the ECB rate on the purchase date, while the sale price is converted at the rate on the sale date. Hover over a converted amount to see how much you paid in the original currency.
If a product is not in our catalog, write to us and we will try to add it.
Adding cards
You can add a card from its page with the Add to collection button, in the collection with the Add card button, or straight from the Card Scanner. You choose the collection, card condition, quantity and acquisition date and, when the card comes in several versions, also the Variant.
For English Pokémon cards, in the Card condition field you can choose Near Mint or a PSA 8, PSA 9, PSA 10 or TAG 10 grade. Cards from other games are added in Near Mint condition. When we have prices for a card, we only offer the grades for which we have a price for copies in that condition.
The purchase price of a card is optional, since cards often enter a collection from opened booster packs. The Initial value is required instead. We suggest it based on the card's price on the day closest to the acquisition date, as long as they are no more than 30 days apart. We calculate profit or loss from the purchase price or, if you do not enter one, from the initial value.
You can move a whole collection from another app with a CSV file, as described in the article CSV import and export. The import and export buttons are in the collection, on the Options tab.
Cards from a pinned binder
You can pin a binder to a collection with the Pin binder button in its header, and then cards you put in the binder are also added to the collection. We describe the pinning modes in the article Binders.
A card that enters the collection from a binder usually has no purchase price yet, so we calculate its profit from its price on the day it was added. In that case you will see a banner above the card list with the number of cards waiting for purchase details and a Fill in button, and the To fill in toggle narrows the list to just those cards. Fill in the details like this:
Click Fill in to open the Card purchase details window. Cards in it are sorted from the most valuable, since those are the prices you remember best.
For each card, enter the acquisition date and the purchase price per copy, or click I don't know the purchase price. That card will stop waiting for details, and we will keep calculating its profit from its price on the day it was added.
If you bought many cards at once, enter a shared date and price in the Fill in all at once section, then click Apply to all. The Mark the rest as no price button closes out the cards whose prices you do not remember.
Save your changes with the button at the bottom of the window.
Browsing a collection
A collection has three tabs: Products with the list of items, Analysis with the valuation and charts, and Options with CSV import and export. On the Products tab you can find a specific item with the Search your showcase... field and sort the list by date added or price. We explain what the Analysis tab shows in the article Collection value and analytics.
Opened and sold
When you open a product, choose Mark as opened in its menu. You mark a sold product with Mark as sold and a sold card with Mark as sold as well, entering the sale price and date. Here is how each mark affects the numbers in your collection:
Mark | Collection value | Hobby Balance |
|---|---|---|
Opened product | No longer counted. | Purchase price counts. |
Sold product or card | No longer counted. | Purchase and sale prices count. |
The purchase price of an opened or sold item stays in the Spent on collection amount, and the sale price goes to the Recovered from sales amount.
When you have several copies, you choose how many of them you open or sell. You can undo a mark in the item's menu with the Undo mark as opened or Undo sale button, and move the item to another collection with Move to collection.
If you sell a card from a binder pinned to the collection, in Both ways mode it disappears from the binder, and in Binder to collection mode it changes to planned there. In the collection it stays as sold.
Sharing
You can make a collection public with the Make public button, then copy its link with the Share button. Before you do, check what anyone who gets the link will see:
Your username and the collection's name and description.
All items with their purchase dates and prices, including opened and sold products with their sale prices.
The bar with the Vault Value, Passion Balance and Vault Size tiles.
The whole Analysis tab, including the Hobby Balance with the amounts spent on the collection and recovered from sales, the value chart for the last 30 days and Top Gems.
We only hide your notes.
You can switch the collection back to private at any time with the Make private button. The link then stops working.
