A binder is a virtual album for single cards. You arrange cards on its pages just like in a real album. Mark the cards you already own as Owned and the ones you are still looking for as Planned, so you can see at a glance what is still missing.
New binder
Open My binders and click New binder.
Enter a name in the Binder name field, then choose a Cover color and a Page layout (Grid), that is the number of slots per page, from 2×2 to 6×6.
If you want to link the binder to a collection right away, select it in the Pin to collection (optional) field. The pinning modes are described below.
Decide whether to turn on Copies of the same card in one slot. Finally, click Create binder.
Binder limits depend on your plan:
If, after moving to a lower plan, you have more binders than the new limit allows, the extra ones become read-only: you can view them, export them to CSV or delete them. How to choose which binders stay active is explained in the article Plans and limits.
Adding cards
You can add cards in several ways:
One at a time: click an empty slot or press the S key and search for a card. The Multiple cards button lets you select several at once, and the Owned / Planned toggle sets the status they get in the binder.
A whole set at once, with the Import card set button in the binder panel.
From the Card Scanner, with the Scan cards button in the binder panel.
From a CSV file, if your plan includes import. This is described in the article CSV import and export.
In the search window you can narrow the results with the Artwork color filter, and on a phone you can recognize a card from a photo with the camera icon button.
Drag cards between slots. If another card is in the target slot, the two swap places. To move a card to another page, hold it for a moment at the edge of the page and the binder will turn the page for you. Add new pages with the Add new page button in the binder panel, where you can also delete a page you no longer need.
The side panel shows how many cards and pages the binder has, what share of the cards you have already collected, how much your owned cards are worth (Owned value) and how much the missing ones would cost (Missing cost).

Open the short Binder guide with the button in the binder itself or with the ? key. It shows you how to move cards, change their status and flip through the binder quickly.
Card menu
When you hover over a card, a bar appears below it. The first button switches the card between Owned and Planned, and More opens the card menu. You can also open the same menu with a right-click. On a touch screen, just tap the card and its options appear in a bar at the bottom of the screen.
Variant changes the card's version, for example to Reverse Holofoil, if the card has several variants.
Condition lets you choose Ungraded (NM), PSA 8, PSA 9 or PSA 10.
Notes let you add up to three short notes to the card, each up to twenty characters.
Card details shows a preview of the card together with its price.
Search similar opens a search with this card's name, and the By artwork style option shows cards with similar artwork.
Insert empty slot before this card moves this card and the following ones one slot further. To remove an empty slot, right-click it and choose Remove slot (shift left).
Remove from binder takes the card out of the binder.
If the binder is pinned to a collection, removing an owned card or changing its status to planned also removes it from the collection. We will ask you to confirm before doing so.
Copies of the same card
By default, each copy of a card takes its own slot in the binder. If you prefer to keep copies together, turn on Copies of the same card in one slot when creating the binder or in the Binder settings window. Copies added from a CSV import, from the Scanner or through syncing with a collection will then go into a single slot, and the card will show how many there are, for example ×3. In such a binder you can also merge copies yourself by dragging a card onto the same card in the same variant, condition and status.
When you turn this option on in a binder that already has cards, we will offer to merge copies lying right next to each other (Merge copies) and move the freed slots to the end of the binder. When you turn it off, you can split merged copies into separate slots (Split copies) or keep them together (Keep merged).
The menu of a card held in several copies has extra commands:
Take out one copy moves one copy to a free slot in the binder.
Split copies into separate slots gives each copy its own slot.
Remove one copy reduces the number of copies by one.
Remove all copies from binder takes the card out of the binder together with all its copies.
Binder settings
Open the window with the Binder settings button in the binder panel, in the Management section. It has the Name, Cover color and Page layout fields and the Copies of the same card in one slot toggle. Save your changes with the Save changes button.
After you change the layout, cards keep their order and the pages are recalculated. Before saving, you will see how many pages the binder will have. If the new layout would need more pages than your plan allows, choose a larger grid or remove some cards.
In the Danger zone section you can delete the binder with the Delete binder button. The binder disappears together with all its pages and cards, and this cannot be undone.
Arrange cards
The Arrange cards button in the binder panel arranges all cards starting from the first page and moves empty slots to the end. It appears when the binder has at least two cards. Choose a method and click Arrange:
Method | How we arrange the cards |
|---|---|
Rainbow | From red through green to violet, and on each page from light to dark. |
Light to dark | From the lightest cards to the darkest. |
Most expensive first | The most valuable cards on the first pages. |
Cheapest first | The cheapest cards at the start, the most valuable at the end. |
Rarest first | The rarest cards on the first pages. |
Most common first | Common cards at the start, the rarest at the end. |
When arranging by price, we use the current market price, and cards of the same rarity are arranged by set and number. Cards without a price, without a known rarity or without color data go to the end. If you don't like the new arrangement, click Undo in the notification that appears afterwards.
Import card set
The Import card set button fills the binder with all the cards from the selected set.
Choose a game and a set.
In the Mark cards as section, choose Owned or Planned.
If the set has variants, in the Choose variants section select which ones to add, with or without the base cards.
If the binder already has cards, choose where to place the new ones: Replace current removes the existing cards, Insert at start moves them further back, and Add at end appends the new ones after the last card.
Click Import Set.
In a pinned binder, cards marked as owned also go into the collection, for now without purchase prices. In that case Replace current also removes from the collection the cards that came there from this binder.
Pinning to a collection
A pinned binder is linked to a collection, so cards added in one place automatically appear in the other. This way, cards from the binder count towards the collection's value and towards the Collector's Dex. There are two modes to choose from:
Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
Binder to collection | Cards from the binder also go into the collection. |
Two-way | The binder and the collection always have the same cards. |
In Binder to collection mode, the collection can hold more cards than the binder, and changes to it do not affect the binder's layout. In Two-way mode, whatever you add or remove in one place also changes in the other.
You can pin several binders to one collection in Binder to collection mode. A binder in Two-way mode must be the only binder pinned to its collection.
There are three ways to pin a binder:
When creating the binder, in the Pin to collection (optional) field.
In the binder, with the Pin to collection button in the Collection section of the binder panel.
In the collection, with the Pin binder button.
In the last two cases, a window guides you through choosing the binder or collection and the mode, and at the end shows the Review what will happen step. There you will see how many cards are already in both places, how many will go from the binder to the collection and, in Two-way mode, also how many will go from the collection to the binder. If the binder runs out of space, some cards will wait in the collection until you make room for them. Link the binder with the Pin button.
Cards that go from the binder to the collection usually don't have a purchase price yet. In the Collection section of the binder panel you will see how many cards are waiting for purchase details, and clicking this information lets you fill them in in the collection.
Change the mode with the Change mode button, and remove the link with the Unpin button. When unpinning, you decide whether the cards stay in the collection (Keep cards in collection) or disappear from it together with their purchase details.
View, filters and missing cards
The Show prices toggle in the View section shows the price on each card. Prices are hidden by default.
The Filter cards button highlights cards in the binder that match a name, number or note. You can also narrow them by status (Show), rarity, set and price, and the filter bar takes you to the next pages with matching cards.
Clicking Missing cost in the binder panel shows the Missing cards list with the total value of planned cards. You can sort it by price (Most expensive) or by Binder order.
The Full screen button hides everything except the binder, and on a wide screen you can also switch between a one-page and two-page view.
Keyboard shortcuts
On a computer you can also use the binder with the keyboard. The list of shortcuts is also in the binder panel.
Key | Action |
|---|---|
← or → | Previous or next page. |
Home or End | First or last page. |
Shift + ← or Shift + → | Previous or next page with cards matching the filter. |

Sharing
In the binder panel, in the Sharing section, you can switch the binder from Private to Public and copy the link. Whoever receives it doesn't need an account. They will see:
the binder's name and your username,
all pages with owned and planned cards, together with card conditions and notes,
Owned value and Missing cost.
The recipient can turn on prices and filter cards, but cannot change anything. Public binders are not shown in search engines, and when you switch the binder back to private, the link stops working.
