Notification channels, quiet hours and ignored shops

Where alerts can be sent on the sites with shop price comparison, how to connect Telegram, Discord or Pushover, and how to mute notifications at night.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

To open Notification settings, go to the Price alerts page and click the Notification settings button (Settings on a phone). These settings apply to both price alerts and the Deal Radar.

Channels and devices are shared across your whole account, so they receive notifications from every site where you set up alerts.

Browser notifications

This is the basic channel, available on every plan. Click Enable Notifications and allow your browser to show them. Every device where you turn them on appears in the Your devices list, where you can disconnect it.

On an iPhone, notifications only work after you add mTCG to the Home Screen and turn them on in the app installed that way. We explain how in the article mTCG on your phone.

If your browser has blocked notifications, click the padlock icon next to the page address and allow them in the site settings.

Telegram, Discord and Pushover

On the PRO plan, alerts can also go to Telegram, a Discord channel or the Pushover app. In the notification settings, this is done in the PRO notification channels section. On other plans, you will see an Available on PRO button there.

  1. In the PRO notification channels section, click Configure channels.

  2. On the Notification channels page, click Add channel.

  3. Choose a platform and connect it as described below.

The PRO status card at the top of the Notification channels page shows how many channels you can add and how many you already use.

Telegram

Click Connect Telegram, then press Start in Telegram. You don't need to enter any IDs. The connection link works for 15 minutes, and once it expires you can click Generate new link. Alerts arrive in a private chat with our bot, and you can turn them off by sending it the /stop command.

Discord

We send alerts to Discord through a channel webhook, which is an address we can post messages to.

  1. In the Discord channel settings, choose Integrations, then Webhooks.

  2. Create a New Webhook and copy its address.

  3. In the add channel window, paste the address into the Webhook URL field and click Add channel.

In the Alert mention field, you choose who to tag in the alert message:

  • No mention: the message appears in the channel without tagging anyone.

  • Specific user (ID): we tag one person, usually you. Enter their Discord ID, a number of 17 to 20 digits.

  • @here (private channel only) or @everyone (private channel only): the message gets one of these Discord group mentions.

You can copy your ID in Discord: in Settings > Advanced, turn on Developer Mode, then right-click your username and choose Copy User ID. A mention makes the notification stand out and sets it apart from messages from other servers.

Discord alerts are for personal use only, so connect the webhook to a private channel that only you can access. If alerts are shared with other people, we block the Discord channel, first temporarily and then permanently after further violations. Your other channels and alerts keep working as before. If you run a community and want to share alerts with it, contact us.

Pushover

To connect Pushover, you need a user key and an application token from pushover.net. You can also set the Alert priority and Notification sound. High priority makes sure the alert reaches you even when your phone is in silent mode.

Managing channels

You can turn any added channel off and on with the OFF and ON switch, without deleting it. Click Edit channel to change its name, the mention for a Discord channel, and the priority and sound for a Pushover channel. To change keys, the webhook address or the connected Telegram chat, delete the channel and add it again.

Quiet hours

Quiet hours pause notifications during the hours you choose, for example at night. They are off by default, and you turn them on with the Pause notifications switch. Once they are on, we suggest a range from 22:00 to 7:00, which you can change.

You set the hours in Central European Time, which is used in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

During quiet hours we send nothing to your browser, Telegram, Discord or Pushover. Alerts and deals that are still valid when quiet hours end reach you right afterwards.

Ignored shops

If you don't want notifications about offers from a particular shop, add it to the Ignored shops list. When the cheapest offer comes from an ignored shop, we check the next one. The list holds up to 100 shops, and the setting also applies to the Deal Radar.

Shops in alerts

On the sites for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the notification settings also have a Shops in alerts section. It shows which countries we take offers from and which delivery country we consider in alerts. The same settings decide which offers you see in the price comparison, and you change them with the Change in shopping settings link, which leads to the Shopping section on your account page.
